Considered as one of the largest community colleges n Washington, Shoreline Community College offers a fulltime one-quarter Nursing Assistant program that runs for 11 weeks. This program is composed of clinical and lab sessions and theory/classroom classes. The program covers HIV/AIDs, basic patient care, first aid and dementia care, among others. Interested candidates are required to be at least 18 years old, able to read, able to speak and write proficient English and they must pass the CASAS test. Also, they must pass a background check.

Highline Community College offers a one-quarter full time Nursing Assistant Certified training program. To qualify for this CNA training Seattle program, prospective candidates must be 18 years or older, proficient in spoken and written English and able to meet the physical prerequisites for an NAC. Also, you must pass a background test and the CASAS test. The NAC program is offered in winter and summer quarters while the Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training (I-Best) NAC program is offered during the spring and fall quarters.
