Trident School of Nursing 

Trident School of Nursing offers a 5-week long program that equips students with the necessary skills required for employment in hospitals, long-term care facilities and nursing homes. The school requires prospective candidates to have a high school diploma, undergo background check and drug screening, and provide proof of immunization and TB tests. This CNA program covers clinical rotations and classroom sessions, and costs about $1900 which covers CPR, live scans, registration, tuition, supplies, textbooks and other expenses. Long Beach Job Corps Center

As a part of the U.S. Department of Labor, Job Corps Center provides several training programs including a nurse assistant program. To qualify for the program, you must be 16-24 years old, a legal resident or U.S. citizen and you must provide documentation to show that you come from a low-income household. The CNA program covers basic patient care, employability skills, ethics and law, physiology and medical terminology. Successful applicants earn a living allowance as they study. Upon graduation, students receive job placements and their fees for certification exams are paid by the school.
