Hennepin Technical College
This Nursing Assistant program is offered during the spring, summer and fall semesters. Students can take their lessons at either Eden Prairie Campus or Brooklyn Park campus. Students are required to attend all clinical and classroom sessions, pass skills exams and unit tests as well as pass physical tests. This 4-week program prepares students for the Nursing Assistant State Exam by offering courses in basic patient and personal care, illness/health continuum, human needs and basic medical terminology. Upon completion of the program, successful students are eligible for the Minnesota Competency Evaluation test.

Minneapolis Community & Technical College
The Nursing Assistant program is offered every semester and the courses are taught at the college’s downtown Minneapolis campus. This program covers coursework in behavior management, infection control, resident-based and institution-based care, health and illness, physical, social, spiritual and emotional needs, death and dying and patient/employee rights. International Institute of Minnesota
Located between Saint Paul and Downtown Minneapolis, this college offers a nursing assistant program that incorporates cross-cultural training. The class sizes are small with an instructor/student ratio of 1 to 6. To qualify for admission at the Institute, prospective students must attend an interview, pass an English test, be physically-fit and they must be proficient in spoken and written English. The program is tuition-free but students must pay $100 and $20 for the State Nursing Assistant Certification exam and background screening, respectively. The program takes 8-11 weeks and it is offered during the fall, winter, spring and summer sessions.

American Red Cross Twin Cities
The American Red Cross offers CNA training in multiple locations across Minnesota. Their Minneapolis campus equips students with the skills required to offer basic patient care.
