These young, affluent tech professionals may not need much in the way of healthcare now, but anyone working in Austin can expect to typically earn more than they might elsewhere as a result of the income they bring to the city. Austin is also a fantastic place to live. It has an amazing climate, beautiful buildings and a trendy nightlife.

Before we finish this article, there’s some important information which you must be made aware of. You must be at least 18 years of age to work as a CNA in Austin. A full background check will be carried out to make sure you do not have a criminal record, if you do you are automatically disqualified from being a CNA. You must also hold a GED or equivalent. There are exceptions to the above in some cases. If you are already a CNA whose training has lapsed or if you were a medic in the Armed Forces, then the above may not apply. Make sure you are eligible to work as a CNA before spending any money on training.
A CNA career is a very rewarding and reasonably well-paid career that requires very little training when compared to equivalent paying jobs. It’s a growing industry in Austin as the population ages, and it is a steady career which will always be required no matter what happens in the wider economy. As long as you are eligible and can afford the relatively low cost of training it’s a great idea to become a CNA in Austin.
